Single Crochet = SC
Double Crochet = DC
Instruction
Pouch
Step 1 Chain 17 – Choose one color
Step 2 Use DC (change colors from now on)
Step 3 Row 1 – First 4 stitches Color 1 → Stitch 5-8 Color 2 → Stitch 9-12 Color 1 → Stitch 13-16 Color 2
Step 4 Row 2 – First 4 stitches Color 2 → Stitch 5-8 Color 1 → Stitch 9-12 Color 2 → Stitch 13-16 Color 1
Step 5 Row 3 – First 4 stitches Color 2 → Stitch 5-8 Color 1 → Stitch 9-12 Color 2 → Stitch 13-16 Color 1
Step 6 Row 4 – First 4 stitches Color 1 → Stitch 5-8 Color 2 → Stitch 9-12 Color 1 → Stitch 13-16 Color 2
Step 7 Continue step 3 – step 6 until you have your desired length
Step 8 Crochet a second patch
Step 9 Seam the pieces together (don’t seam the opening)
Step 10 Secure the excess tails with your darning needle
Step 11 Sew the button to the frontpatch
Flap
Step 1 Choose which side should be the backside of your pouch – This is where you’re going to crochet the flap
Step 2 Use SC
Step 3 Add row 1-3 (16 SC)
Step 4 Decrease – Row 4 → 1st and 16th stitch (14 SC)
Step 5 Decrease – Row 5 → 1st and 14th stitch (12 SC)
Step 6 Decrease – Row 6 → 1st stitch (11 SC)
Step 7 Decrease – Row 7 → 1st stitch (10 SC)
Step 8 Decrease – Row 8 (Button Hole) → 1st stitch – Crochet into stitch 2 & 3 and Chain 3 – Crochet into the 6th stitch – Continue the row (9 SC)
Step 9 Decrease – Row 9 → 1st stitch and 9th stitch (7 SC)
Step 10 Decrease – Row 10 → 1st, 2nd and 6th, 7th (3 SC)
Step 11 SL ST all around the flap
Step 12 Secure the excess tails with your darning needle
